Peter Facinelli is co-hosting Live with Kelly today and after some opening banter, Kelly broached the subject of his recent divorce from Jennie Garth.

"I recently got divorced from my wife, which has been very painful," he said. "Especially after you've been together for 17 years and have kids – I've tried to stay quiet about it for the sake of my kids."

In addition to going ringless, Peter would only add that, "We're doing well, she'll always be in my life, I'll always love her" and that "we're very dedicated to being great parents."

Facinelli filed for divorce on March 28 after 11 years of marriage. The couple has three children together.
