CSI: NY star Gary Sinise was involved in a minor car accident last Friday, prompting the actor to cancel several performances with his musical group, the Lt. Dan Band. 

A spokesperson for Sinise confirmed the actor's injuries in a message to his blog. The posting details that although he was "not seriously hurt" in the accident, they encourage his fans to "[wish] Gary a speedy recovery."

Production on CSI: NY will not be affected by Sinise's recovery as the hit TV show wrapped season eight filming earlier this year.
