CBS Journalist Mike Wallace Dead at 93

Veteran journalist and 60 Minutes pioneer Mike Wallace has died, according to CBS News. He was 93.
According to the news source, Wallace passed away on Saturday night at his home in New Haven, CT.
Wallace spent 38 years as a correspondent for 60 Minutes, having worked on the show since its inception in 1968.
While on the news program, Wallace made a name for himself by conducting hard-hitting investigative reporting. One of these assignments, revealing secrets about the tobacco industry, reportedly inspired the 1999 film The Insider.
Wallace retired from 60 Minutes in 2006. In his famed career he won more than 20 Emmy Awards amongst other distinctions.
