The Hollywood Reporter recently celebrated "The 35 Most Powerful People in Media" with a star-studded cocktail reception, where the who's who in media weighed in on Alec Baldwin's recent controversial Twitter antics.

The outspoken actor has been making headlines lately, most recently when he decided to address his alleged stalker Genevieve Sabourin on Twitter. "Isn't it odd when an accused stalker is in handcuffs, being taken away by the cops, yet smiles for the cameras?," he tweeted.

"He's got a tweeting thing going but he likes to tweet, you know? He enjoys it -- he's got fast fingers you know what I mean?," Today's Hoda Kotb jokes. "Sometimes that can get you in trouble, as we've learned."

According to Wendy Williams, tweeting is "dangerous territory" for celebrities in general.

"I have a filter on my Twitter, so I will never be tweeting after a late night or something like that, or in a Twitter war with somebody," she explains.

Alec Baldwin is Engaged

But in Baldwin's case, she recommends a no-tweet policy.

"I know at one point Alec's Twitter was shut down. It would probably be best if it stayed that way just for a little bit longer ... just a little longer," she says. "Because he's one word away from saying the wrong thing -- again," she laughs.
