Though she is herself an icon to women all over the world, Beyonce revealed her own idol -- First Lady Michelle Obama --  via an open letter on her Tumblr.

"Michelle is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman," Beyonce writes. "No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope -- she's humble, loving, and sincere."

The handwritten note ends, "Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that that u do for us -- I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."

And it appears the love is mutual. The Obamas have also expressed love for superstar couple Beyonce and Jay-Z, with Obama recently telling The Atlantic's David Samuels at a political fundraiser in New York City that he prefers Jay-Z over Kanye West.
