Gary Sinise entertains millions every week as Detective Mac Taylor in the CBS hit CSI: New York, but not everyone is privy to the actor's talents as frontman for The Lt. Dan Band which has been traveling around the U.S. to play for military families.
"I see a lot of smiling faces out there," says Sinise of his tour. "We roll in; we give everybody a good time."

Named after his Oscar nominated role in 1994 film Forrest Gump, Sinise's group made a trek of over 8,000 miles last January to play for the troops at camp Buehring in Kuwait.
The TV star spent 72 hours overseas, treating the deserving men and women of our military to an energizing set of hits, including one very popular number-- Baba O'Riley by the Who, which just so happens to be the theme song for CSI: NY.

"This is a special moment in the show," smiles Sinise. "It's a fun thing for the audience."
