STAPLES Center has been home to some barn-burning games and rockin' events over the years but never before has it been invaded by an 80-foot, 20-ton Transformers robot.

Just in time for the upcoming launch of the new ride "Transformers: The Ride-3D" at Universal Studios, Chick Hearn Court outside of STAPLES Center was ridded with debris from the giant Transformer crashing into the arena.

Fans snapped photos on the phones of the hole on the side of the building as people warned the masses on megaphones that the end is near and the Transformers are coming.

Indeed they are--when the new Transformers ride opens this May at Universal Studios.
