Dick Clark on His Most Memorable New Year

In 2000, ET caught up with Dick Clark just before the 2001 New Year's celebration where the TV icon filled us in on his favorite New Year's Eve.

It just so happened that ringing in the new millennium in 2000 stood out the most for Clark, citing the big crowd as a major factor.

"A million people showed up," said Clark of New York's Times Square, hoping for similar numbers while welcoming 2001.

The Daytime Emmy winner even revealed his New Year's resolution for 2000, saying that he wanted "to wake up everyday and thank whoever's up there {pointing to the sky} for being so nice to me."
