A stunning new production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire is currently playing at Broadway's Broadhurst Theater and showcasing bravura performances from Nicole Ari Parker (as Blanche), Daphne Rubin-Vega (as Stella) and 2012 Drama League Distinguished Performance Award nominee Blair Underwood as the brute Stanley.
But there's a remarkable sensitivity to Underwood's incarnation of the iconic role -- something the actor worked diligently to achieve. That is one of the many reasons why he's currently collecting Tony buzz along with rave reviews.
ETOnline recently caught up with Blair Underwood backstage in his dressing room to talk all about his Broadway debut, his less enjoyable theater beginnings and the one thing you'll never see him doing on stage.
