After 17 years together, Martin Lawrence and wife Shamicka Lawrence have decided to end their marriage, ET has learned.

In court documents obtained by ET, the couple cites "irreconcilable differences" as their reason for parting ways.

"Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together," the couple said in a joint statement.

Martin and Shamicka dated for 15 years before they tied the knot in 2010. Eddie Murphy and Denzel Washington were among the 120 wedding guests at the intimate ceremony held at his home in Beverly Hills.

The couple has two daughters, Amara and Iyana.
