Rule #1 -- Smell Good
"It definitely happens more often than you would think when someone comes up and you're like, 'He's really attractive and seems really nice,' and it just doesn't work if he smells bad," Upton says.

Rule #2 -- Have a Good Sense of Humor
"Pickup lines never work," says Upton. "I think someone clever, witty and funny is very attractive."

Rule #3 -- Be Confident
"If you're not confident enough to come talk then obviously nothing's going to come of it, because we're not even going to meet," says Upton.

The 19-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model went on to describe the kind of guy she would like to wind up with saying, "I like to laugh. I like to have a good time. I don't like to be so serious about things, so I would want a guy who would want to laugh and have a good time, too."

Upton recently made headlines when a video surfaced showing the model doing the Cat Daddy dance in a bikini. YouTube temporarily banned the clip for being too raunchy.
