"Thanks everyone for your help in finding my new name!" posted Moore to her Twitter page this afternoon, as she unveiled her straightforward new handle to the world. "So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be @justdemi It could grow on me!"

Last December, the formerly prolific tweeter announced to her followers that the change wasn't "a priority" following inquiry as to why she hadn't changed her handle nearly a month after filing for divorce from Ashton Kutcher.
"Sorry it bothers so many of u," she wrote. "Should I not tweet until I do?does it really matter?"

In the months since, Moore has remained in the public eye following a highly publicised meltdown and subsequent stint in a treatment center. Most recently, the 49-year-old debuted her new show The Conversation, for which she is a producer.
