It's not hard to imagine that Carrie Underwood and her NHL husband Mike Fisher find it difficult to meet halfway at the dinner table thanks in part to the country star's veganism, but Underwood says she vows to one day become a model wife for Fisher in the kitchen.
In a recent visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the southern songstress details how her life has changed since becoming a vegan and how her hubby is adjusting.
"He's all right. He's actually getting better," she reveals of her attempts to share her PETA-friendly cuisine. "I'll offer to make him something I'm making myself and he'll say 'sure'."
While she herself adheres to the strict diet, she says she does hope to create dishes that make lasting impressions to her family, despite the necessary restrictions.
"I want to be that Mom someday that's like, oh my Mom makes the best…fill in the blank. I would love to be that. So I'm working on it…"
Underwood said "I do" to NHL hockey player Mike Fisher in July of 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia.
Tune in to Ellen on Wednesday for more including a performance of Underwood's hits Undo it and Good Girl. Check your local listings.
