Jessica Simpson is sharing a bit more about her newborn daughter Maxwell and says so far motherhood is the "best thing" ever.

"I am so in love with baby Maxwell," the singer and Fashion Star judge tweeted on Tuesday. "I want to cry every time I look at her. Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced."

Simpson -- who is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson -- gave birth to Maxwell Drew Johnson last Tuesday. In a message announcing the arrival, she called the event "the greatest experience of our lives."
