Blink-182 Cancels Shows Due to 'Medical Emergency'
May 10, 2012
Blink-182's reunion tour is suspending all remaining tour dates in May to allow drummer Travis Barker to recover from an emergency tonsillectomy.
"Travis Barker required an urgent tonsillectomy with a recovery period expected to extend beyond the scheduled tour dates," the group announced on its official website. "The band apologizes for any inconvenience as a result of these cancellations and thanks their fans for their ongoing support."

Included in the cancellations is a headlining performance at New Jersey's Bamboozle Festival on May 19. Festival organizers announced that My Chemical Romance will take Blink-182's place and will perform onstage before Foo Fighters.
Blink-182 is set to kick-off a two-month European tour in June and those shows are expected to move forward as planned.
