Katy Perry debuted her newest single Wide Awake-- a not-so-subtle allusion to her soon-to-be ex husband Russell Brand-- at the Billboard Music Awards last night, and on Tuesday's Ellen, the singer reveals that her new documentary-concert film will give fans an all-encompassing look across the span of her unsuccessful, fourteen-month marriage.

"I decided to put everything into the film," she explains of the doc which followed the singer through the entirety of her short-lived union. "I think sometimes people think that we're perfect and we know we're not perfect, at all."

Perry goes on to say the edited footage is unbiased and reflects the painful stage of her life (along with some very happy ones) in an honest, "tasteful" way.

"Mostly it's about how I [achieved fame] and the ride along the way which can be bumpy but mostly it was extremely fun."
