Oprah had another one of her trademark "Aha!" moments while visiting with Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka, as they explained the journey of a same-sex couple wanting to be parents.

"We really had thought it through financially, emotionally, relationship-wise. We didn't just accidentally get pregnant," said Neil who, with David, is a father to 18-month-old twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace. "These kids come into our world with nothing but love."

This sparked Oprah's epiphany that -- unlike some traditional pregnancies -- with same-sex couples, having a baby doesn't happen by accident.

"I never thought of it that way before," said a misty-eyed Oprah.
