A fire broke out this afternoon in a New York City building where Robert De Niro lives, resulting in damage to his apartment.

ET confirms that the Oscar winner and former Backdraft star is out of the country and his family was not present when the small blaze ignited on the fourth floor of 88 Central Park West, a 12-story building. De Niro lives on the fifth floor, according to NBC 4 New York, there were no reported injuries, and the NYFD says the fire is under control.

Officials say that the fire was believed to have started in a lint trap.
