Oprah came out swinging in her two-part interview with the Kardashian family, diving head first into the biggest events, questions and criticisms concerning America's most polarizing family.

Possibly the most notable revelation to come out of the special Oprah's Next Chapter episode was Kim Kardashian admitting that her sex tape "introduced [her] to the world."

Even as the leaked sex tape made her recognizable enough to warrant media attention and later a reality show, Kim reasoned that the tape also put her at a disadvantage.

"I felt like I had to work 10 times harder to get people to see the real me," Kim told Oprah after denying putting the tape out herself. Kim went on to describe the sex tape as one of the only things she might regret, and expressed how she would have been at a loss had her father been alive for the scandal.

None the less, in the five years following that scandal, Kardashian has become a household name all over the world. Surprisingly, with all the TV shows, magazine shoots, club appearances and paparazzi, the family still doesn't refer to themselves as "famous" or "celebrities".

Robert Jr. told Lady O that he hates those words because "it sounds like you're talking about yourself in an arrogant way."

Kourtney Kardashian even said that she has never grown comfortable with being famous, which Oprah pointed out was strange considering her willful involvement in several reality shows.

Behind all the series, merchandising and endorsements is the family matriarch, Kris Jenner. Many have criticized her for "pimping" or exploiting her children, but Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert all vehemently deny those claims and defend their mother's tactics, saying that she has their best interests in mind.
