Glee star Jenna Ushkowitz is branching out.

Ushkowitz, who plays Tina Cohen-Chang on the Fox musical, is penning her first book, titled Choosing Glee. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Choosing Glee will explore her rise to fame and motivational approach to life.

"People ask me, 'How did you get here?' Well, I learned how to fight for what I want," says Ushkowitz, who, as a baby, was adopted by a Long Island family. "I learned to focus and work hard and not give up. I learned that every obstacle is really an opportunity."

The 26-year-old actress' book will also contain anecdotes about her time on Broadway (she had a role in The King and I in 1996 and served as an understudy in Spring Awakening) and of course, will delve into her experiences on the Glee set.

"My goal is for you to walk away from this book looking at the world differently than when you started. It's about how to have, do and be anything you want," she says.
