M.I.A, Bad Girls – The Remixes

M.I.A is an artist who never shies away from controversy. Her politically charged single, Bad Girls, is out today within a compilation of remixes. Bad Girls - The Remixes features new artists such as Rye Rye, as well as more popular artists such as hip-hop heavy weight, Missy Elliott. Elliot will not only drop a line on the Bad Girls – Switch Remix, but will also be featured in the Danja produced track, N.A.R.S Remix, alongside Azealia Banks. M.I.A's unique sound, cool swagger and relentless activism placed her on Time Magazine's 2010 "100 Most Influential People" list. Her smash hit, Paper Planes, gained worldwide recognition after being featured in the Academy Award-winner Slumdog Millionaire, as well as Pineapple Express. M.I.A has always stayed true to her roots, receiving recognition after being nominated for an Academy and Grammy Award in the same year. From flipping the bird on live television at the Super Bowl, to rocking it out on the Grammy stage nine months into her pregnancy, M.I.A continues to intrigue and surprise audiences. Her fourth album is set to be released this fall on N.E.E.T Interscope.
