What had ET readers buzzing this week?

1. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Divorcing

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage.

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," says Holmes' attorney Jonathan Wolfe. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Cruise's rep says in a statement: "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy."

Cruise and Holmes, who have a 16-year age difference, have one daughter together, Suri, 6.

The couple married in an Italian castle in 2006, after a whirlwind romance that made headlines from the start. Perhaps the most infamous incident? Cruise's 2005 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, in which he ecstatically professed his love for Holmes while jumping on a couch.

There was also no hint of marital trouble in Cruise's recent interview with Playboy, where he called Holmes "an extraordinary person."

"She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you'd see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity. She's funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better. I'm a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that," he said.

This was the first marriage for Holmes and the third marriage for Cruise, who was previously married to Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers. He has two children with Kidman, Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17.

2. Celebs Rally Behind Anderson Cooper

Anderson Cooper has an extensive list of A-list celeb friends, so it was only natural for the Twitter-friendly stars to send out messages of support for the silver fox after the CNN journalist told The Daily Beast's Andrew Sullivan, "The fact is, I'm gay."

3. Brad Pitt's Brother Parodies his 'Normal' Life

Looks like the Pitt family has another star in the making!

Doug Pitt, older brother to superstar Brad, is stepping into the spotlight for the very first time with the release of his hilarious commercial for Virgin mobile.

The Australian spot, which quickly became viral since its launch, features the real estate developer dealing with the mundane, everyday tasks of non-celebrity life, such as brushing his teeth, gassing up the car, and mowing the front lawn of his humble abode.

Given the opportunity to show off his sense of humor, Brad's look-a-like sibling excels with flying colors, boasting his affection for his unassuming mini-van.
"I like this car," deadpans Doug. "It's sporty, it's stylish!"

The ad, which you can watch above, is all part of Virgin mobile's "fair go for all" campaign to bestow a moment of superstar spotlight on regular Joes such as Doug, described as the "second most famous Pitt in his family."

4. Ron Howard Remembers Andy Griffith

To one generation, Ron Howard is an Oscar-winning director; to another, he's Richie Cunningham from the '70s sitcom Happy Days; but for many, he'll always be little Opie from The Andy Griffith Show. With the sad news that Andy passed away July 3, Ron remembers his good friend and mentor, telling ET, "I think he lived a rich, full life with optimism to the very end."

"It was Andy's effort and vision, week in and week out, that kept modifying and defining and redefining what Mayberry was and what it was supposed to represent," says Ron about Andy's influence on the beloved Andy Griffith Show, which ran on TV from 1960-1968.

Ron credits not only his work ethic to Andy's influence, but also the way he raised his own family.

"There wasn't neurosis around the set, there was a kind of respect for the opportunity, a humility in that, and yet a sense of play," says Ron of the example set by the humble star. "He definitely informed my career, and our family wouldn't be what it is today, we wouldn't be who we are without that show, and that show wouldn't have been what it was without Andy."

5. Former 'Bachelor' Travis Stork Marries

Travis Stork, the dreamy doctor featured on season eight of The Bachelor, is officially off the market!

Last Saturday, Stork tied the knot with his girlfriend of three years, Charlotte Brown, during an intimate mountain ceremony amongst close family and friends. The couple exchanged their vows in his home state of Colorado just a week an a half after teasing his upcoming wedding on Twitter.

"My days as a "bachelor" are nearing an end!" he wrote on June 20. "My wedding ring has arrived… getting excited!"

The Doctors co-host, 40, popped the question to Brown in the spring of 2011 while the two were vacationing in Hawaii.
