Justin Bieber says in a 911 call placed last week that he was being pursued on a freeway by paparazzi and he complains that police were "not nice" when they pulled him over earlier that day and ticketed him for exceeding the speed limit.

"They're driving really reckless -- they just will not stop following me," Bieber tells the 911 dispatcher in Friday's call, which was obtained by DJ Laz's radio show on Los Angeles station LA 96.3 FM. When asked to provide his name, the 18-year-old pop sensation first responds, "Justin," but when asked to give his last name, he says "Johnson."

"I have, like, five cars following me, um, on the freeway," Bieber explains in the call. "They just will not stop following me." The singer placed the call after being pulled over earlier in the day when police cited him for exceeding the speed limit while driving his $100,000 Fisker Karma sports car.

Bieber admits to speeding in the earlier incident, but said that was because of his pursuers. "I was driving fast so that I could try to get away from them and I got pulled over myself," he said. "When I explained to the police officers, they were being, like, not nice about it. They were just like, 'You waive your rights to privacy when you're a celebrity. But that makes absolutely no sense when they're the ones being dangerous."

"The police told me if they kept following me to call again," the heartthrob explains. "They're the ones that are driving reckless and I'm just trying to, like, not have them be on my tail."

Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine -- who placed the 911 call reporting the first incident Friday involving Bieber --told the Los Angeles Times that he witnessed the singer engaging in "dangerous driving" as he was being pursued by "going from the fast lane to the slow lane to the shoulder in traffic." "I figured someone was going to crash, so I called 911," Zine said

According to the Times, the California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incidents and they are trying to find the cars that were pursuing Bieber.
