Nicole Richie Joins Youth Volunteers in Harlem

Nicole Richie joined High School Musical star Corbin Bleu, Twilight actor Chaske Spencer and other volunteers at a playground in New York's Harlem to help restore an important mosaic art piece.
ET spoke to Richie and others about why they decided to spend their free time pitching in to help restore the playground's CITYarts Peace Wall, which was completed right after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The event also kicked off DoSomething.org's "The Hunt: 11 Days of Doing," in collaboration with Bing and Lenovo. The Hunt includes 11 days of challenges during which teens from around the country come together to affect social change for positive community impact. The teens complete in challenges to earn points that can win them prizes and scholarships.
The search engine Bing got involved in the project as part of its broader efforts to encourage young people everywhere to seek out ways to get involved in their own communities. Interested individuals can visit www.Bing.com/doing to search for projects in their local areas.
