Actor Michael Clarke Duncan was hospitalized Friday after having a heart attack.

A rep for the 54-year-old star tells ET that Duncan is recovering after suffering "a myocardial infarction" early Friday morning. "He is now stable and we look forward to his full recovery," the rep said.

A rep for The Apprentice star Omarosa Stallworth, Duncan's girlfriend, also confirmed to Reuters that the actor was hospitalized. An earlier internet report indicated that Duncan was first discovered in a state of cardiac arrest by Omarosa, who reportedly administered CPR before Duncan was taken to a Los Angeles hospital.

Best known for his 1999 appearance in the prison drama The Green Mile, Duncan also starred in the 2003 superhero movie Daredevil, as well as the 2005 thriller Sin City.
