Jimmy Kimmel Steps In as Emmys Nods Announcer

It has been confirmed that Jimmy Kimmel has agreed to step in as a last-minute fill-in for Nick Offerman as co-announcer of the Emmy nominations announcement ceremony.

The late-night talk show host, who is set to host the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 23, will join Scandal star Kerry Washington in announcing the nominees early Thursday morning.

The TV Academy announced Wednesday night that Offerman, who currently stars on the comedy Parks and Recreation, would "regretfully" not be able to logistically make it to the ceremony because of weather-related travel delays on the East Coast.

The ceremony can be viewed live on the Emmys website commencing at 5:40 a.m. PST on Thursday.
