Katie Holmes Picks 1st Major Project Since Split

Katie Holmes is returning to Broadway for her first project since divorcing Tom Cruise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Holmes will star in Smash creator Theresa Rebeck's new play, Dead Accounts. The actress' last time in a Broadway role occurred in 2008, appearing in All My Sons.

The play is expected to open at the Music Box Theatre this fall.
