Authorities say they have confirmed that Michael Jackson's mother Katherine is safe and staying with a family member in Arizona after a relative reported her missing over the weekend.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirms to ET that investigators had made contact with Jackson, but details were not provided about her specific whereabouts. Her son Jermaine Jackson said in a statement on Sunday that his mother was staying with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona, following a doctor's order to "de-stress" and stay away from the phone and computers. He said access to his mother was not being blocked.

A member of the Jackson family reported Katherine -- who serves as the guardian of Michael Jackson's three children Paris, Prince Michael and Blanket -- missing on Saturday. Michael's 14-year-old daughter Paris also expressed concern over her grandmother's whereabouts on Twitter. "I haven't spoken with her in a week I want her home now," Paris tweeted Saturday.

The missing person report came amid an ongoing dispute between some members of the Jackson family and the executors of his estate working with Katherine. Five of the late pop star's siblings recently claimed that Michael's will was fake and they have demanded that the executors of his lucrative estate should resign.

A letter signed by Janet, Randy, Tito, Rebbie and Jermaine claims that Katherine is being manipulated by the executors, John Branca and John McClain, and that her health has suffered. The estate denies the allegations, which emerged shortly after Michael Jackson died in June 2009 from an overdose of a powerful anesthetic.
