Christian Bale Visits Aurora Shooting Victims

The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale is in Aurora, CO to visit victims of last week's tragic movie theater shooting, reports The Denver Post.

7News & ‏tweeted a pic of the Batman star's visit, saying: "#ChristianBale meeting with #Aurora #theatershooting victim Carey Rottman."

Another pic tweeted by reporter Jeremy JoJola: "Christian Bale at hospital...sent in by viewer named Amanda."

And tweeted by Swedish Medical Center: "What a surprise! 19 Swedish staff members met actor Christian Bale today @ TMCA! More details soon. #theatershooting"

Moviegoers had been watching the first midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises last Friday when suspected assailant James Holmes opened fire indiscriminately on the crowd, killing 12 and injuring dozens. On Saturday, Bale released a statement in response, saying, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
