Flashback: Magnificent 7 Gymnasts' Victory Party

Seven pint-sized gymnasts with big dreams captured America's hearts upon winning the team all-around gold medal at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. ET was with the Magnificent Seven soon after their historic win when Demi Moore and Bruce Willis threw the girls a victory celebration at Planet Hollywood.

Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Dominique Dawes, Jaycie Phelps, Amanda Borden, Kerri Strug, and Amy Chow instantly became household names that resonate in memory 16 years later. On the big night, Dawes told ET, "I felt confident right from the start. I knew this team could do it. We have the belief and we had all the physical and mental aspects that work together."

The injured Strug was given a hero's welcome upon her arrival to the bash. "I'm really excited about this team gold," she beamed. "It's like a dream come true. Everyone said it was possible, but then for it to actually happen, I'm feeling really high, but at the same time, I'm a little bit down that I hurt myself."

Fast-forward to July 31, 2012 when the Fab Five were born with Jordyn Wieber, McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Aly Raisman, and Gabby Douglas trying to repeat the performance of their gymnastics predecessors atop the Olympic podium. One constant that bonds both teams is the involvement and guidance of coaches Marta and Bela Karolyi.
