1. Michael Phelps Breaks Olympic Record

Michael Phelps has reached such heights in the sport of swimming that the only records left to break are his own. He was back in the pool on Thursday after his most recent win earlier in the week brought him to a record 19 Olympic medals. Has his collection grown?

The answer is yes! Phelps went head-to-head with rival and teammate Ryan Lochte in the 200m individual medley and came out ahead. Not only is this victory his 16th gold and 20th medal overall, but it is Phelps' third straight Olympic victory in the 200m individual medley. No male athlete has ever before accomplished the feat of winning the same event in three consecutive Games.

Team USA's top two male swimmers are doing America proud. Lochte received the silver in the race, adding to his very own catalogue of Olympic hardware. After a very short turn-around, Phelps made another splash by finishing first in his group for the semi-finals of the Men's 100m butterfly.

2. Robert Pattinson Not Hiding Out at Reese Witherspoon's Ranch

Contrary to multiple reports, Robert Pattinson is not staying at Reese Witherspoon's ranch in Ojai, California, ET has learned.

Though Witherspoon's rep had no comment, a source close to Pattinson tells ET that the reports that he is staying at his Water for Elephants co-star's vacation house are false.

The sought-after Twilight star's whereabouts are still unknown, and he doesn't appear to be coming out of hiding anytime soon. Though his critically acclaimed film Cosmopolis hits U.S. theaters on August 17, and the final installment of the blockbuster Twilight series debuts on November 16, it's unclear what press appearances he'll make.

3. Randy, Janet & More Banned From Jackson Home

Attorneys for the estate of Michael Jackson have confirmed to ET that Janet, Randy, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson are currently prohibited from entering the Calabasas home shared by Paris, Prince, Blanket and Katherine Jackson.

Charles Shultz, an attorney for TJ Jackson, Jr. helped to compile the list of persons no longer allowed on the Jackson family property in Calabasas-- namely Janet, Randy, Rebbie and Jermaine Jackson.

This comes just weeks after a relative reported Katherine Jackson missing, which heightened the ongoing dispute over the validity of Michael Jackson's will -- which leaves everything in the pop star's lucrative estate to Katherine and his children. Five of Michael's siblings recently claimed that Michael's will was fraudulent and they have demanded that the executors of his estate should resign.

The estate denies the allegations, which first emerged shortly after Michael Jackson died in June 2009 from an overdose of a powerful anesthetic.

4. 'RHOBH' Star Adrienne Maloof and Husband Separating

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Adrienne Maloof and husband Paul Nassif are separating after nine years of marriage together.

Paul officially filed for legal separation from Adrienne in L.A. County Superior Court Monday morning.

According to Adrienne, the longtime couple's three children were a big reason for the split.

"I'm so sorry that this is happening but my children are my life and sometimes we need to do what's best for them," she tells RadarOnline.com. "It's an unfortunate situation but, I have to have my kids' best interest at heart."
Adrienne and Paul, a plastic surgeon who's appeared on E!'s Dr. 90210, have three sons together -- Gavin and twins Colin and Christian. The couple wed in 2002.

5. Jennifer Lopez Threatens Legal Action Over Reports About BF

Jennifer Lopez is striking back against recent tabloid reports about her boyfriend Casper Smart, threatening legal action over two separate publications' cover stories.

Attorneys for Lopez and Smart issued the following statement Wednesday to ET: "These statements are false, malicious and defamatory. Ms. Lopez and Mr. Smart will pursue all remedies available to them under the law."

A Star Magazine story shows photos of Casper purportedly entering and exiting what the publication calls a "gay XXX peepshow" in New York City. The tabloid adds that the visit to the establishment came the day before Lopez's birthday on July 24.

An article in In Touch magazine alleges that Smart also visited an "exotic massage parlor" in the same building as the establishment mentioned in the Star story. The In Touch story says Smart denied, via his rep, that he visited the massage parlor. In a statement to ET, In Touch said, "we stand by our story."
