NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested last night following an altercation with his wife Evelyn Lozada, ET has learned.

According to the police report, Evelyn says she confronted the former Dancing with the Stars contestant, 34, after finding a receipt for a box of condoms. In the report, Evelyn goes on to claim that Chad head butted her and began to scream, at which point Evelyn reportedly ran to a neighbor's house.

Chad reportedly told police that it was Evelyn who head butted him. According to the report, Evelyn sustained a laceration on her forehead "approximately 3 inches in length," while Chad "did not have any visible marks or bruises."

Chad was charged for battery with a bond set at $2,500. He has since been released from police custody.

FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reports that following this event, the Miami Dolphins have cut Chad from the team.

"Scouts cleaned out his locker," Jay tweeted on Sunday.

This news comes just days after the two were seen joking around on HBO's Hard Knocks. According to People.com, the couple, who married last month, are currently filming a reality show for VH1 called Ev and Ocho.
