Gwyneth & Taylor to Headline 'Stand Up to Cancer'

Gwyneth Paltrow is taking the helm of this year's Stand Up To Cancer show, which organizers promise will be another historic star-studded event to raise money for cancer.

The groundbreaking show -- which is broadcast simultaneously by all the major television and cable networks to millions of viewers worldwide -- will originate live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on September 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Paltrow is co-executive producer of the event and among the other celebrities participating in the broadcast are Taylor Swift, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jessica Biel, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Seth Rogen, Emma Stone, Katie Couric, Coldplay, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw.

The first two Stand Up to Cancer telecasts took place in 2008 and 2010 -- raising more than $180 million for the organization's innovative cancer research programs.
