The memoir will chronicle Gabby's early life as she left her family in Virginia at age 12 to train 3,000 miles away on her journey to gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
"Even before I competed in the Olympics, I always wanted to write book," she told the magazine. She added that the book will reveal how much she and her family overcame during her Olympic journey and said she hopes that people will read her story "and think anything is possible."
