The ladies of The Talk wanted to do something daringly different for today's season premiere so they decided to do the entire show without makeup and styled hair. ET was on the set to speak with the co-hosts about their "naked" pledge.

The show's panel -- Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler -- all agreed to go makeup free for the debut episode, although Chen said it was tempting to cheat a bit. "I thought about cheating, until I read that Jamie Lee Curtis was coming with makeup wipes," she said about one of the show's guests.

Curtis also joined the "take it all off" pledge, as did audience members and celebrity chef Sandra Lee, who appears on Monday's to conduct a "naked" cooking demo.

Chen said the experiment gives her some sympathy for celebrities caught on camera with no makeup. "It's very unfair to those celebrities because the paparazzi catch them when they're hunched over, bad posture and grabbing groceries."

Gilbert said she doesn't think there are too many stars who would agree to go in front of millions of TV viewers not wearing makeup. "It really shows that we are willing to show parts of our lives that not everyone is willing to show," she said. "We really are girlfriends and because we feel safe with each other, we're more willing to show more of ourselves to the public."
