It's a milestone for any child, and Suri Cruise is no different – on Tuesday the 6-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes arrived at a NYC private school for her first day of school.

Like many other little girls on their first day of school, photos showed Suri wearing a pink bow in her hair and clutching a pink backpack.

Following her parents split in June, Suri has been spotted frequently this summer enjoying activities in NYC with her mom Katie, like going to musuems, the zoo, riding bikes and playing in parks. She also visited Disney World with dad Tom.
