Joe Simpson Pleads Not Guilty to DUI Charges

Jessica Simpson's dad, Joe Simpson, is contesting his DUI charges, ET has learned.

Simpson's attorney Shawn Holley, who has also represented Lindsay Lohan, confirmed to ET that he pleaded not guilty today to two DUI charges brought against him last month.
On August 4, Simpson was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and held overnight at Valley Jail in Van Nuys. He was released at 9:41 a.m. the next morning after being held on $5,000 bail.
