Daniel Radcliffe Talks Suicide Prevention

Daniel Radcliffe participated in a live chat on Sunday as a part of The Trevor Project's Talk to Me Campaign for National Suicide Prevention Month.

The event, moderated by Shira Lazar of the Emmy-nominated online show What's Trending with Shira Lazar, marked the first Google+ Hangout for The Trevor Project, an organization that provides "crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people under 24," according to their website.

"The quality of the relationships around you are really what is most important in anyone's life," said the Harry Potter star, encouraging young people to confide in friends during times of depression or self-doubt.

In 2011, Radcliffe accepted the Trevor Project's Hero Award, which recognizes individuals who have been an inspiration to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.
