The proud mama dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show (for an episode airing Tuesday) to promote her new book Nowhere But Up and, as expected, the discussion quickly turned to her superstar son and his lovely girlfriend.

"Seriously...how can you not like her? She's so sweet," Pattie gushed. "She's good for him and they're great together."

Talk of Justin and Selena's nearly two-year relationship soon led to questions geared at Pattie's own romantic pursuits, prompting Ellen to gift the single mom (who pledged not to date until Justin turned 18) with a subscription for Match.com.
