The pregnancy rumors have been officially put to rest! Shakira is indeed expecting her first child with her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Piqué.

The Voice's newest celebrity coach confirmed the happy news to her website on Wednesday, telling fans she and Gerard are "happily awaiting the arrival of our first baby."

While it's unclear when the couple will be expecting their bundle of joy, the 35-year-old singer has cancelled a scheduled appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend in Las Vegas in order to "give priority to this unique moment in our lives."

Shakira and Gerard reportedly met on the set of her song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), the official anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
