Grammy-nominated comedian Ron 'Tater Salad' White invited ET to come aboard his luxurious tour bus to give us a preview of his upcoming projects and to reflect on his early days on the road.

The cigar-smoking, scotch drinking comic -- who's been one of the top three grossing comedians on tour in the U.S. over the past five years -- revealed how he set himself apart from other comics since his beginnings with the famous Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which included fellow comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy.

"What makes me different as a comic is that I'm just true to my nature," White explained. "I found when I was doing standup that the closer I got to who I really am, the more they responded to it."

The comedian recounted the influence and generosity of Foxworthy early on in his career. "First set I did, I came offstage and was kind of happy with it, and Foxworthy was there. He walked up to me after the show and said 'Hey, you're really funny, but you need to put the punchline at the end of the joke.'"

In addition to his touring and TV specials, White is currently offering a new 80-minute comedy special -- called A Little Unprofessional -- that is being made available via digital download directly to fans through his website.
