Actor/singer/golf enthusiast Justin Timberlake shook hands with Tiger Woods in Rosemont, Illinois on Wednesday during the 2012 Ryder Cup Gala at Akoo Theater.

The Trouble with the Curve star greeted the pro golfer just before announcing the players of the 39th Annual Ryder Cup.

"I consider myself a golf groupie," Timberlake joked, according to the Daily Herald. He continued to win over the audience, quipping, "I didn't come here to bring 'Sexyback' to golf. Frankly, I have a bad back right now. We all know that's what Davis Love, a.k.a. the Love man, does. Make sure to call him that when you see him."

Timberlake earned the distinction of being the first-ever United States Team Ambassador for the event.
