Neal and Michaele Dish on Their Engagement
Soon after receiving a surprise proposal from her rocker boyfriend Neal Schon on Sunday night, a shaken-yet-delighted Michaele Salahi spoke with ET (alongside her soon-to-be hubby) about the emotional moment and why she said 'yes' to spending eternity with the Journey guitarist.

Bouncing into the room, Michaele exclaimed, "[This is the] biggest night of my life" as she proudly showed off the enormous, multi-carat diamond sitting prettily on her dainty ring finger.
"It's a dream for me," she gushed of the engagement. "I loved Neal for a long, long time."

It all went down during a dual event hosted by both parties—a fashion show (thrown by Michaele) and a concert headlined by Journey-- in Baltimore benefiting the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. Midway through the band's performance of their hit, Faithfully, Neal got down on one knee and popped the big question to Michaele.
"I wasn't [nervous] going in," he confided of his onstage proposal, "but when it actually happened and the moment came, you know, I kind of locked up...It wasn't coming out and I got really emotional so I just went down on one knee and did it."

The couple, who have been friends for 16 years, reunited a year ago and immediately fell head over heels for each other. Their romance made headlines when Michaele's then-husband Tareq Salahi reported her missing.
When asked if they planned to tie the knot soon, Michaele responded with a resounding "Yes!"
The pair are also together in the music video for his solo CD The Calling, out October 23.
