Whitewood: I'm Not Behind Russell Crowe Split

Damian Whitewood is setting the record straight with ET that he is not "the other man" when it comes to Russell Crowe's reported split with his wife of nine years Danielle Spencer -- he insists that he "absolutely" did not have an affair with Danielle while the two were partners on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars.

Rumors swirled about the nature of Damian and Danielle's relationship when the two were photographed together in June at The Star casino in Sydney.

"Friends, we're really great friends," Damian tells ET about their relationship. "She was a wonderful woman and really committed to throwing herself into dancing -- it was all about her."

He also insists that the buzzed-about photos were from an innocent night out with the entire Dancing with the Stars cast -- the two never went out together solo.

"It was as a cast, we were all socially out together," he stresses. "That's what happens, you become a family with everybody involved in the whole process. ... Yes I had my arm around her -- I had my arm around her every day on the dance floor."

He also confirms that he has spoken to Danielle since the reported split and surprisingly, Russell as well.

"I have had communication with both of them and it's for them to sort out, I just don't want to be a part of it," he says.
