Kim Kardashian and Kanye West caused a red carpet commotion at Monday night's Angel Ball in New York City, where the high-profile couple took some time out to support cancer research at the star-studded black-tie benefit put on by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation.

Kim's BFF Jonathan Cheban was also on hand at the event, where he gave ET's Christina McLarty the inside scoop on all those Kim and Kanye wedding rumors.

"My God, I got more emails on this than when she was getting divorced from Kris," he joked. "I don't think they're married but she's coming here tonight, so I'm gonna be the first one to look at that --if there's a ring on her finger. If she didn't tell me, I'm going to be really upset about it."

The legendary Smokey Robinson performed at the benefit, and talked to ET about the importance of the night.

"Well Denise (Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich, the founder of Gabrielle's Angel foundation for Cancer Research) is our good friend, she knows my wife from way back," he revealed. "...She's doing such a fantastic thing in combating cancer. We should do all that we can to make that fight, and combat it in any way we can because it's so devastating -- to everyone all around the world, there's so many different types of it. So here we are."
