NBC will broadcast a star-studded concert Friday night to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The network said in an announcement Thursday said the benefit telethon -- airing live at 8 p.m. EST and tape delayed in other areas -- will be hosted by Matt Lauer. The money raised will be donated to the American Red Cross for the organization's ongoing relief efforts following the storm.

Among those to perform will be musicians who grew up in some of the storm's hardest hit areas -- including Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi of New Jersey and Billy Joel of Long Island.
Also set to appear during the benefit are Christina Aguilera, Sting and Jimmy Fallon.
