Kristen Stewart Announces Honor for Jodie Foster

Kristen Stewart was proud to announce on Thursday that her friend Jodie Foster has been chosen to receive this year's prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The Twilight star joined The Mentalist actor Simon Baker in making the announcement in Beverly Hills. Stewart noted that Foster's "screen presence, directorial skills and entrepreneurial success have established her as one of the most admired and respected people in the industry." On a personal note she also added, "This is a special moment for me... she's been really important in my life for a long time and I think Simon and I are really thrilled to make this announcement."
The Cecil B. DeMille Award is given annually to talented individuals who have made a great impact on the world of entertainment. Previous recipients include Morgan Freeman, Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Martin Scorsese, Frank Sinatra, Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, among many more.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 13 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
