Still reeling from Brooke Burke-Charvet's cancer reveal early this morning, an emotional Melissa Rycroft opened up to ET about the Dancing with the Stars co-host's shocking diagnosis.

"Nobody had any clue," said Melissa, who became visibly upset talking about the mom-of-four's condition. "We've seen her all season long, you know? During the whole days of dress rehearsal and show days and Tuesdays and you talk to her and she's fine. She's bubbly, she's got... There was nothing about her that made anybody go, 'I wonder what's going on with Brooke? I wonder if she's feeling okay.'"

As a fellow mother, the DWTS competitor became particularly emotional at the thought of her close friend's four children possibly losing their mom.

"It really hits home that there are so many bigger issues and bigger things going on in the world (besides Dancing)," Melissa said, becoming a bit teary. "You can't lose perspective on that and, you know, she's a mom. And that kind of gets you a little bit."

Fortunately, Brooke's prognosis is good. The 41-year-old co-host will soon undergo surgery to remove the cancerous nodule and her doctors have expressed high hopes for a full recovery.
