Dina Lohan on Lindsay's Canceled Interview

After Lindsay Lohan bailed on a 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters, Dina Lohan had her own interview with ET's Christina McLarty and explained why her daughter's sit down was canceled.

"We love Barbara. I respect her immensely -- so does Lindsay," says Dina, who claims that it was Lindsay's new public relations team that made the call. "It was just a decision that higher-ups made."

In fact, Dina hopes that Barbara would be willing to let Lindsay back on the show in the future, provided that the subject is work-related.

"She really wants to focus on the film and what it's about, and promote that," says Dina, revealing that Lindsay wants to divert attention away from her personal life and onto the projects she's been working so hard on.

The 26-year-old actress can next be seen playing Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, which premieres Sunday, November 25 at 9/8c on Lifetime.
