Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been silent about any wedding plans since getting engaged last spring. But at last night's premiere of his film Killing Then Softly, Brad opened up for the first time about the much-anticipated event, which he revealed is not that far off.

"I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come," Pitt toldPeople magazine at the New York premiere. "The time is nigh," he added. "It's soon. I got a good feeling about it."

Pitt, 48, has been with Jolie, 37, for seven years and the couple have six children -- Maddox, 11, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

The star told the magazine that the kids were absolutely the driving force in his desire to tie the knot with Jolie. "We've had a family, we've raised the kids. I am surprised how much [marriage] meant to me once you had that."
